Make yourself at home
Make yourself at home in our cosy cottage packed full of original features, with exposed beams in nearly every room and interesting quirky (wonky?) walls everywhere. You won’t fail to fall in love with Rock Cottage.
Rock Cottage is charming from the moment you pull up outside with easy on on road parking. We suggest guests park in “our space” the on-road layby area across the garden gate just to the left of the cottage. Further parking can be found in the village.
Two very comfortable rooms sleep 4, a king size bed and a twin room (with full size single beds so perfect for adults as well as children).
There is a large bathroom perfect for showering off the sand after a long day at the beach or soaking in the bathtub after a day exploring the cliff top walks.
Downstairs you will find a well equipped modern kitchen with everything you need to rustle up delicious meals. An induction hob makes cooking (& cleaning!) easy, the full size fridge freezer is perfect for chilling the wine and stocking up – no-one wants to spend their holiday popping to the supermarket every five minutes! The kitchen has an integrated dishwasher so even the tidying up is easy – we provide you with an initial supply of dishwasher tablets to get you going.
The lounge is the ideal place to relax in front of the glorious log burner (complimentary starter basket of logs included), smart TV for those rainy days and plenty of space for a game of cards.
The dining room has a gorgeous original Cornish slate floor with a modern scandi table with seating for 4 (plus optional high chair). Need to catch up on a bit of work whilst away? A small desk & chair and very good wifi should make that a doddle.
To the rear of the property is a delightful terrace with outdoor furniture, space for BBQing or enjoying an al fresco meal. A warm suntrap! If you look up you can see St. Issey Church almost directly behind the garden. We can’t promise the garden is entirely dog proof, although our dog has never escaped so please take care that your 4 legged friends don’t slip under the gate or trespass into our neighbour’s garden.
We also have a bike shed, so if you’re planning to cycle the Camel Trail then you can store your bikes here (please bring your own padlock) or bikes can be hired from the hire shops in Wadebridge or Padstow. Some of the bike hire companies will also deliver to the cottage if you are wanting to cycle from the door. Please ensure you have adequate insurance to cover your bikes away from your home as our insurance does not cover any guests’ belongings.
