Children are welcome at Rock Cottage and we are happy to provide a travel cot and high chair on request (no charge). Please bring your own bedding for the travel cot.
The twin room is ideal for children with 2 single beds.
In the kitchen you will find a stash of children’s plastic plates and cups – perfect for avoiding breakages on Cornish slate floors!
Things to note – child safety
Rock Cottage is an ancient cottage with steep uneven stairs. You must supervise children at all times when using the stairs as stair gates are not provided. The stairs can be closed off from the living room and dining room using the doors.
At the rear of the cottage is a delightful private garden terrace with space for outdoor dining. Parents need to be aware that the terrace is slightly raised and children must be supervised to ensure they don’t fall. The side gate leads directly to the road and cannot be locked so again supervision is required. Children are not permitted to be in the garden unsupervised.
One of the nicest features of Rock Cottage is the cosy log burner located right at the heart of the home in the living room. We strongly recommend that the log burner is not used in the presence of children to avoid nasty burns – something for parents to enjoy with a glass of wine after children’s bedtime! Please note that no child guard is provided.
